The Washington National Cathedral has several events planned to commemorate the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  At 7:30 p.m. Friday, it will present a performance of Brahms' Requiem in honor of the Pentagon victims and survivors, their families, and emergency responders, as well as the nearly 6,000 military service members killed in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. At 1 p.m. Saturday, a "Concert to Heal" will feature popular music by local musicians. The event is planned as a day for gathering as a community for renewed strength, with music that encourages understanding across cultures and generations.
