Saturday: Sep 10th-2nd Saturdays at the Fred Area Museum

 In observance of the Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War, UMW's Civil War Reenactor Club will join the Museum in a living history interpretation of life during the Civil War in historic Market Square. They will demonstrate period crafts, play authentic music and give talks. Kids will create crafts to take home.  This experience will teach children about how the conflicts of the Civil War played out in their hometown!

Stay for the free Civil War era concert by the Virginia Serenader's at 3 pm.  Don't forget blankets/lawn chairs.
